HOME LEARNING ACTIVITIES
If your child is well, but needs to self-isolate for a period of time at home, a link will be sent to you with a 'Home Learning Overview' for the week along with access to our 'Google Drive' which contains appropriate resources for the current week as well as 'continuous resources' which can be used to support your child's learning at home at any point.
A copy of the 'Weekly Overview' along with some continuous resources can also be found on this page.

CURRENT WEEK: HOME LEARNING OVERVIEW
GUIDE TO HOME LEARNING in RECEPTION
Reception Home Learning is a 5-page document, with detailed activities and linked resources:
- General Overview
- Phonics / Handwriting (Fine Motor Skills)
- Maths
- Carousel
- Rainbow Challenges (these are optional)
We suggest that you create a timetable for your day based around what works for you to include some adult / child focused time / independent play / family time and physical exercise – this will help you prioritise areas of home learning each day and create some routine for your child.
Remember however that Reception learning is usually ‘play-based’ – make it fun and keep it varied. If your child is losing focus or enthusiasm, take a break or change activity. The planning is here to help you and your children to keep to some kind of ‘routine’ and ‘keep learning alive’. Some parents prefer this kind of structure whereas others may prefer to take the children’s lead a little more. There will be days when you will able to do more and some less, but we would suggest that each day (if your child is well) you try to find a little time to do some phonics, a bit of maths, some reading and at least one other activity or project with your child.
