Should your child require first aid aid during the day they will be assessed and treated by one of our support staff, all of whom are qualified first aiders. All accidents are recorded in our accident book and a notification is sent home via the child in their book bag. Class teaching teams are informed of accidents which occur during play times so they are aware of any injury. In the event of a bump to the head, the child will wear a sticker as well as having a note to go home.
Should an accident be more serious, requiring further medical attention, parents will be contacted immediately. It is therefore very important that parents keep the school office informed of up-to-date contact numbers which can be answered or a message quickly picked up/ passed on.
