Shelford School PTA supports the school to enrich learning and grow our community. The PTA raises money to support projects that benefit the children within and beyond the classroom. We also fund activities and resources that cannot be provided by the school’s core budget. These include fantastic enrichment activities like the specialist art workshops, school trips, outdoor play equipment and the reception chicks.
By giving just £3 per month, families can help provide resources and extra opportunities that make a real difference to our children’s school experience. Regular monthly donations allow us to plan ahead and reduce the need for frequent fundraising, while keeping contributions affordable and easy for some.
The scheme is open to anyone: parents, carers, grandparents, friends and the wider community. We are grateful for all the support that our school community provides, financial and otherwise, and this is an easy and convenient way to provide support.
You can make your donation in these three ways:
1. Sign up via our Just Giving campaign. A quick and easy process, no fees and they automatically process Gift Aid for us: sign up here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/shelford-pta-regular-supporters. Just click on ‘Give Now’ then ‘Monthly’ and enter the amount you want to give to set up your direct debit.
2. Set up monthly Payroll Giving. This is a tax efficient process through your employer. The tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay. To donate £1, you pay: 80p if you’re a basic rate taxpayer, 60p if you’re a higher rate taxpayer, 55p if you’re an additional rate taxpayer. You will need to go to your HR department and complete a donation form to authorise payroll to take an agreed amount each month.
3. Set up a direct debit & complete a Gift Aid form.
