Early Years Funding

Early Years Funding is available to all children from the term after their third birthday.  Therefore, all Pre-school children are eligible, as are some of the Sunbeams. Please note that the Education Department states that terms are from 1 January, 1 April and 1 September, irrespective of the actual date term starts. The grant can be used for up to 15 hours per week. These 15 hours can be split between more than one nursery or playgroup.

Rainbow will give you the necessary form (titled ‘Count me in’) to complete and process the application for you. If you are using the grant, you will need to give us a half-term’s notice of either leaving the group or of reducing sessions, or risk paying fees for the half term after the child has left. Please note that if a child eligible for EYF does not use the grant, sessions will be charged at Rainbow’s standard rate.   

Working Parents' / Carers' Funding

Please see the Governement Best Start in Life website https://www.beststartinlife.gov.uk/ to see the various schemes available, fill in your details and see if you are eligible for extra government funding, up to 30 hours a week.  We would need you to fill in the appropriate funding form and provide us with an eligibility code so that we can apply for the funding for you, by the deadlines set by the Early Years Funding team.
